Jersey Textiles Showcase 2014


This officially opened on Wednesday, and continues until Tuesday 11th March. For all details, see

Here are a some of the main events / exhibitions.

Harbour Gallery

The Harbour Gallery is looking great with the new exhibition of the work from Jersey's talented textile artists, it is well stocked up with Oliver Twist and Clover products and many other textile products, Artesano Fairtrade yarn in the yarn shop , next to Helene and the Elf in gallery 3, lots of art and craft materials and special offers.

Workshops

Genuine Jersey Farm and Craft Market in the Square outside the Parish Hall

7pm
Beaulieu Convent School GCSE and A Level Art and Fshion  students fashion show at the Methodist Church on the Bulwarks. Tickets to be booked in advanced.

Monday 10 March 7-9 pm

A relaxing final evening. Ann Pallett will be demonsrating how to make exquisitely mouth-watering and beautiful sugar paste roses and hydrangeas. Relax and unwind in the cafe, and enjoy a buffet and soft drink first. Numbers limited - £12 for cost of buffet, wine and demonstration.

Exhibitions

Beside the workshops, free exhibitions will be taking place in the Harbour Gallery, the Methodist Church on the Bulwarks and St Aubin on the Hill Church, including the exhibition of work from the Open Competition and primary schools working to the theme of "Festivals". 

There is also a Texere exhibition of scarves in the Parish Hall,  and a Beaulieu exhibition of photography and painting in St Aubin on the Hill church. Why not wander in on Saturday or Sunday in the day?
